Where I come from

I was born in the United States, but raised in Oaxaca, Mexico, where my family is from. I'm the youngest of seven daughters — the last of the girls my mother raised.

Every kind of work

When I came to the U.S., I worked just about every job there is — sales, retail, restaurants, warehouses. About eight years ago, someone introduced me to massage therapy, and I've never stopped studying since. It became the thing I didn't know I was looking for.

My specialty: body contouring

Over the years I've specialized in body contouring using wood tools, and I work mostly with post-op patients and people who want to contour their body. My approach is holistic — I focus on never damaging the muscle, and on really taking care of the whole person in front of me, not just the result.

Because of my Mexican roots, I've connected with ancient, ancestral forms of healing — and that's what we wanted to bring to this spa.

Today

I got married five years ago, and while I don't have children yet, I'm hoping to build a family. This work has become my lifelong passion. I'm also an instructor in our apprenticeship program, and I've had many students go through it and go on to become massage therapists themselves. I love encouraging everyone I meet to make this part of their life — both for the income it can bring, and for the holistic approach it gives you toward other humans and their health.
